On February 9, 2021, Irada Khalilova, Rector of Khazar University, met G. Ali Purmarjan, the newly appointed Chairman of the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan. During the meeting, which was also attended by Alovsat Amirbayli, the Director of Public Relations and Media of the University, G. Ali Purmarjan introduced himself and spoke about the work to be done in the field of culture.

Khalilova informed the guest about the work done with the Cultural Center and stressed the importance of development of future relations. G. Ali Purmarjan presented a new two-volume work of A. Firdovsi’s "Shahnameh" prepared with the support of the Iranian Cultural Center to I. Khalilova. The rector thanked the guest for the valuable gift. G. Ali Purmarjan also got acquainted with the Mevlana Center for Literary and Philosophical Studies (MAFAM) operating at Khazar University.
