On November 30, 2020, Khazar University Development Center conducted a virtual Focus Group Discussion (FGD) within the framework of the UniLab project on expanding university-business cooperation, organizing student internships, and redesigning the university’s curricula to meet the needs of stakeholders.

The event which was held via MS TEAMS commenced with a greeting of Director of Development of Khazar University, Ms. Raziya Isayeva. Further on, she gave detailed information about the UniLab project, its goals and partners.

Along with Khazar University staff and students, the meeting was attended by representatives of companies such as Kapital Bank, the International Bank, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic, Baktelekom, Nokia Azerbaijan, SOCAR, Airspan Networks, Fireworks Recruiting and Training Company andothers.

A number of topics such as employers 'expectations from interns and students' expectations from the internship program, what companies and universities can do to improve student internship were discussed at the event. Project report based on the outcomes of the FDG will be prepared to be presented to project partners and to university leadership. Along with the report, the team will prepare an article to present it it to larger academic community of Azerbaijan.
