On December 12, 2019, Mr. Florian Sengstschmid, the Director of Azerbaijan Tourism Board, visited Khazar University upon the invitation of the School of Economics and Management. During the visit, the possibilities of cooperation between Khazar University and Azerbaijan Tourism Board were discussed with Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, the Rector of Khazar University, and Associate Professor, Jeyhun Mammadov, the Dean of the School of Economics and Management.

In the meantime, Mr. Florian Sengstschmid and also Ms. Sharifa Hasanova from the Department of Tourism Product & Destination Development of Azerbaijan Tourism Board, and Ms. Konul Nuriyeva from the Tourism Policy & Strategy Division of Regional Tourism & Reserve Development Sector of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with the students of the School of Economics and Management, and delivered very interesting lectures on “Tourism Development and Public Policy in Azerbaijan”. The meeting ended with a question-and-answer session.
