On November 13, 2019, upon the arrangements made by the Khazar University Career Center, a meeting was held with the participation of the Azerbaijan Public Speaking Competition (APSC), a partner of ESU (The English-Speaking Union) in the UK, aimed at facilitating English language promotion among students in Azerbaijan and their participation in international programs. While delivering his opening statement, Career Center Coordinator Fakhraddin Abdullayev spoke about the importance of this program and what opportunities it can open up in future careers.

Lala Babayeva, the project manager of the platform, provided detailed information on the program and announced that the ESU of the UK will hold the national competition for Azerbaijan, International Public Speaking Competition-2020, the largest public speaking contest in the world.

It is worth mentioning that during the preliminary stage, 15 finalists will be selected. On December 1, the winner of the final round will win the title of the Best Speaker of Azerbaijan and will compete with the winners from 53 countries for the title of the best speaker in the world from 11 to 15 May 2020 in London.
