From October 30 to November 1, 2019, “2^nd Caucasus Mountain Forum” was held in Ankara, Turkey, organized by the Scientific Network of the Caucasus Mountain Region. Representatives from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation and Armenia attended the forum. The Azerbaijani delegation was represented by the representatives of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Khazar University (Rovshan Abbasov, Rovshan Karimov and Gunay Karimova), Azersu OJSC and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. At the forum, Rovshan Abbasov made a presentation on “Introducing Payment for Ecosystem Services for High Mountain Ecosystems in Azerbaijan”, Rovshan Karimov on “Sustainable Demographic Development of Regions in Azerbaijan” and Gunay Karimova on “Detection of Changes in Agricultural Landscapes through Satellite Images”
