From July 29 to August 26, the group of students, majoring in psychology, under the arrangements done by Melek Karimova, Coordinator of the Department of Psychology of Khazar University, took part in the summer internship program led by Professor Ertugrul Köroğlu at Özel Boylam Hospital, which is one of the most famous hospitals in Ankara, and returned back home.

In the summer internship program, wherein students participated with a particular interest and which was important for their professional development, beside daily theoretical lessons, students also improved their practical experience and skills by directly communicating with patients with mental disorders and substance addiction. Students participating in the summer internship program, in the process of diagnosing psychiatric disorders, based on DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) classification three times a week, were also informed about psychological tests. Students observing group and individual therapies also learned the essential principles of psychological counseling.

Khazar University's Department of Psychology will continue to contribute to the training of personnel, consistent with labor market demands, by supporting the organization of such practices aimed at helping students to develop their professional skills.
