On May 16, 2019, Soil Mechanics Laboratory has been established under the Department of Civil Engineering at Khazar University. Alkın Sönmez, a specialist from Turkey’s “UTEST” company, specialized in installing and commissioning of the equipment, held training for the faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department.

It should be noted that 6 different devices for Soil Mechanics Laboratory were purchased from “UTEST” company. These devices help to determine the characteristics of soil mechanic and they fully comply with European standards.
