On April 16, 2019, Nilufar Alizade, teacher of the Department of Psychology at Khazar University, delivered a seminar entitled “Health Psychology” at the invitation of the Azerbaijan State Economic University. During the seminar the following issues were discussed: history of formation of psychology as a science, the mechanism of accepting the role of conscious and subconscious in the human body throughout the history, which resulted in the emergence of the health psychology. The seminar also covered the practical examples of health psychology’s application in Azerbaijan and abroad, particularly in the UK. The current stigma evolved around the psychological service and the negative effects of it on people were emphasized at the seminar. Taking into account students’ requests, there were also discussions about education abroad and the establishment of the right strategy on this direction
