On March 15, 2019, Professor Suleyman Karatash, Vice-Rector of Mimar Sinan University of the Republic of Turkey visited Khazar University. During the meeting Professor Suleyman Karatash, accompanied by Associate Professor Elza Samedova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, met with the students majoring in design course and got acquainted with their work. Following that, during the meeting with Associate Professor Irada Khalilova, the Rector of Khazar University, the guest was provided with an information on Khazar University and prospective collaboration opportunities and thus the exchange of ideas took place. The meeting was attended by Professor Mahammad Nuriyev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Elza Samedova, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Associate Professor Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of Music and Fine Arts Department, Afag Karimova, Instructor and Coordinator of Design Specialty and Turan Jafarova, Director of International Affairs Office.

Further on, the guest listened to the performance of the Khazar University Chamber Orchestra organized with a tea ceremony at the Cultural Center. The guest was presented with courtesies from Khazar University. Professor Suleyman Karatash, in his turn, expressed his gratitude to the management of Khazar University for hospitality and stressed that he will make every effort to strengthen cooperation between the two Universities.
