On March 7, 2019, Assoc. prof. Irada Khalilova, acting Rector and vice-Rector for Research of Khazar University, visited the Durham University in the UK. She had a meeting with Gary Sharples, Associate Professor in Molecular Biology from Department of Biosciences, Prof. Chris Greenwell, Chair in Geochemistry in the Department of Earth Science, Prof. Nigel Robinson, Research Director of Department of Biosciences, Lorna Wilson, Head of Research Development in the Research and Innovation Services, Dr. Kola Mudashiru Regional Manager (Middle East and Africa) in International Office, Emma Pearce, Exchanges and Study Abroad Manager, Lucy Turzynsky, Head of Secretariat, Matariki Network of Universities. Discussions were held concerning the issues such as current jointly submitted research project between Khazar University and Durham University, and also new opportunities of collaboration and joint educational programs between Khazar and Durham University.
