On March 11, 2019, a Meeting of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences was held, directed by Associate Professor Elza Samedova, Dean of the Faculty. The Meeting was attended by the Associate Professor Vurgun Eyyub, Head of the Department of Languages and Literature, Associate Professor Roza Arazova, Head of Department of History and Archeology, Dr. Ali Huseynli, Head of Mathematics Department, Dr. Bahman Amani, Head of English Language and Literature Department, Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of Department of Music and Fine Arts, Dr. Elmar Mustafayev, Head of Political Sciences and Philosophy Department, Associate Professor Dilbar Zeynalova, instructor of the Department of Languages and Literature, Melek Karimova, Director of the Center for Psychological Service, Valida Karimova, Vice-Dean of the Faculty and Sayad Aslanli, Secretary of the Scientific Council of the Faculty.

At the meeting of the Scientific Council, Dean of the Faculty delivering speech on the enrollment for the 2018/2019 summer semester, provided information about students' personal registrations, group numbers, etc. The Dean also emphasized the importance of classroom lectures, drew attention to the quality of lessons, syllabus compatibility issues. Dr. Bahman Amani, Chief advisor of the English Language and Literature Department, briefed on the measures taken to improve the quality of teaching in English language groups and classes. Heads of the Departments expressed their views on the issues discussed and made proposals for the solution of current issues.

At the same time, discussions were held around the Council’s agenda and relevant decisions were made.
