On March 6, 2019, the 70^th session of the “Assembly of Science and Art” was held at the Khazar University downtown campus. In his opening statement, Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder of Khazar University and the Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, provided extensive information about Mr. Waqās Ahmed, the author of “The Polymath”, Artistic Director at the “Khalili Collections”, FIRST magazine's diplomatic correspondent, who was invited from the UK.

Following Professor Hamlet Isakhanli’s speech, W. Ahmed gave a broad overview about the London-based “Khalili” collection and valuable works there. He made a video presentation of the valuable works of the ancient Islamic period belonging to the “Khalili” collection. The event was attended by teaching staff from Khazar University and students majoring in design, representatives of 28 museums operating in Baku and others. Fakhriyya Aliyeva (Istiglal Museum), Hamlet Isakhanli (Khazar University), Malahat Farajova (Qala Reserve) Afag Karimova, Hassan Niknafs, Alovsat Amirbeyli (Khazar University) and others participated in the discussion.

At the concluding part of the session, Waqas Ahmed expressed his appreciation to all participants and personally to Professor Hamlet Isakhanli. He presented his valuable present from “Khalili Collections” to H.Isakhanli.
