On February 27and 28, 2019, Assoc.Prof.Elza Samadli, Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, and Hatam Jabbarli, PhD in Political Sciences and Instructor at the Department of History and Archeology, attend an international event "The Unifying Power of Cultures and the Role of Universities", organized by Dumlupınar University in Kutahya. The event was attended by more than 50 rectors, vice-rectors and officials from 26 countries from the three continents of the world. The participants discussed issues such as Mevlana, Erasmus and Farabi student and teacher exchange programs and further collaboration. At the event, it was remarked that universities are means of unifying peoples and cultures.
E.Samadli and H.Jabbarli, Khazar University instructors, met representatives of various countries and discussed mutual collaborations.
One of the main aims of the meetings was to sign a cooperation protocol and a protocol of intent in order to establish a union of universities.
Moreover, a protocol of cooperation between Khazar University and Dumlupınar University was signed which covered student and teacher exchange, dual diplomas, joint researches, an appointment of the second supervisor for the Master's and PhD degrees. Both parties also agreed on signing Mevlana protocol.
