On February 26, 2019, with the coordination of the Department of History and Archeology of Khazar University, one of the series events "Khojaly, the tragedy of the century" was held by Zahra Islamova, PhD in History and Instructor at Khazar University, for the first-course students of the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences. At the event, Gushchular, Malibayli and Garadaghli tragedies were also remarked as massacres leading to Khojaly genocide.
