On February 24, 2019, under the guidance of Dr.Kamran Behbudov and Dr.Gahraman Yusupov, Instructors at the Department of Economy and Management, 24 students majoring in Tourism and Hotel Management and Turkish students studying in Azerbaijan within Mevlana exchange program went on a march to the Khojaly genocide memorial.

At the event, the students were informed about the Khojaly genocide committed against the Azerbaijani people on February 26, 1992, as well as people killed and became missing during the massacre. Moreover, participants also discussed the measures which are supposed to be taken for the Khojaly genocide to be recognized internationally. Also, a group of students made presentations on the Khojaly tragedy. At the end of the event, sounded "Justice for Khojaly" and "Susma", both in English and Azerbaijani, to call for the recognition of the Khojaly genocide and draw the international community's attention to this genocide.
