On February 11, 2019, discussion of Master's theses on the specialty of Translation and Linguistics were held at the Department of English Language and Literature.

Bahman Amani (PhD), Head of the Department of English Language and Literature; Milana Abbasova (PhD candidate), Program Coordinator at the Department of English Language and Literature; Irina Orujova, Instructor at the Department of English Language and Literature; Azad Mammadov, Professor of Foreign Languages Department at Azerbaijan University of Languages; Irada Samadova (PhD), Head Instructor at Azerbaijan University of Languages; Sevil Gurbanova, Head Instructor at Azerbaijan University of Languages, participated at the discussion meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Irina Orujova, Chair of Defence Council. The theses were discussed and the candidates answered the questions. Sabina Safaraliyeva, Firuza Nasibova, Farida Mamedova, Nurana Isgandarova and Sevinj Dadashzadeh successfully defended the thesis for a Master's degree.
