On January 8, 2019, on organizational support of the Department of Biological Sciences of Khazar University, Dr. Saeed Kaboli, a researcher of Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, conducted a workshop on “The CRISPR/Cas9 system: Advances and Opportunities”.

The workshop was attended by Prof. Tahira Asgarova, Assoc. Prof. Gulnara Ibrahimova, Assoc. Prof. Aida Aliyeva and Dr. Hafiz Osmanov from Azerbaijan Medical University; Prof. Karim Gasimov, Vice-director of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS; Assoc. Prof. Samira Salayeva from Baku State University; Assoc. Prof. Ruhangiz Mammadova and Konul Mammadova from the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS, as well as students.

Participants had interesting discussion about the topic.
