On December 27, 2018, a ceremony was organized to commemorate the 25^th anniversary of the Department of History and Archaeology of Khazar University. The ceremony was attended by Khazar University administration, graduates and students, associates of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, associates of various institutes of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and representatives of Sabir Foundation.

After an official opening of the ceremony and recitation of a congratulatory message of the Director of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, a satiric sketch “Dispute of Disciplines” prepared by the Department of History and Archaeology was performed by second-year students of History Teacher speciality and was welcomed by participants.

Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, and Roza Arazova, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, shared their views and memories about the Department. Upon cutting up a cake, graduates and Alovsat Amirbayli, Director of PR and Media, had the floor. As a gift for the Department, a first logo version prepared within “Urban Art” with which Khazar University is a partner was presented.

At the end, memory photos were taken and students and guests had an academic discussion at a tea table.
