On December 17, 2018, 60^th anniversary of Nazim Karimov, Professor at the Department of Mathematics, was commemorated with an anniversary ceremony which was attended by university administration, deans, heads of departments and staff.

Delivering an opening speech, Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector of the University, talked about the career of Prof. Nazim Karimov and expressed congratulatory remarks. Then Ali Huseynli, Instructor of the Department of Mathematics, gave short biographical information about Nazim Karimov’s career and pedagogical activity. Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice-rector of Khazar University, and Tarlan Garayev, Assoc.Prof. at the Department of Mathematics, made congratulatory speeches. Then Nazim Karimov was presented with a bunch of flowers and a gift and memory photos were taken.

Prof. Nazim Karimov thanked university administration and participants for the ceremony.
