On December 13, 2018 Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, his excellency Mr. Sanjay Rana visited Neftchiler campus of Khazar University.

Firstly, the Ambassdaor met with the rector of the University Dr. Hassan Niknafs. Participants of the meeting included Kamran Behbudov, instructor of School of Economics and Management and Turan Jafarova, Director of the International Affairs Office. The Ambassador gifted about 70 selections of Indian books on a variety of subjects related to India, such as its history, politics, historical personalities, culture to the University’s Library.

Following the meeting he delivered lecture called ‘India: Tourism, Economy and Social Areas and bilateral ties with Azerbaijan’ to the students of School of Economics and Management. He drew the picture of current cultural-economic relations between Azerbaijan and India and emphasized the nuances for the prospects. Local and foreign students, staff expressed their interest to the lecture.

In the end of the event the moderator of the lecture Kamran Behbudov presented memorable gifts including the book authored by the Founder of Khazar University and the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees prof. Hamlet Isakhanli ‘In search of Khazar’.
