On November 28, 2018, on organizational support of National Memory Institute, an event dedicated to Polish people prosecuted during the Soviet Union was held. The event, consisting of an exhibition, movie and conference, was attended by state officials of Poland, scientists from Ukraine and media.
The event drew a huge attention of the Polish community. Prof. Nasiman Yagublu, Doctor of Sciences in History and Instructor of the Department of History and Archaeology, represented Azerbaijan in the event. He delivered a report on “Prosecution of Polish people living in Azerbaijan during the Soviet Union”. Administration of National Memory Institute supported Prof. Nasiman Yagublu’s research about Polish people and promised to publish the research in the Polish language.
