On December 10, 2018, “Killshot” team consisting of Emin Bayramov, Mahammad Mammadli, Vusal Ismayilov, and Rauf Hajiyev, 3rd year students majoring in Computer Engineering, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, were awarded. “Killshot” team worthily represented Azerbaijan in the Robotic Olympiad held in the Kingdom of Thailand on November 16 and 18. Dr. Hassan Niknafs, acting Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, congratulated team members on their achievement, wished them further success in future competitions and awarded them “Letter of Gratitude” and gifts.
The event was also attended by first and second year students majoring in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Dr. Hassan Niknafs encouraged participating students to get inspired by success of fellow students and recommended them to take an active part in such contests. “Killshot” succeeded in holding 58th place among 90 winning teams from 66 countries, surpassing South Korea, Brazil, Vietnam, Thailand, USA, countries well-known for innovations in robotics.
