A new book entitled “Admiral Javadov – His Life and Battle Way” by Assoc.Prof. Sabuhi Ahmadov, PhD in History and instructor of the Department of History and Archaeology of Khazar University, was published. The book is dedicated to Counter Admiral Jalil Mammadali oghlu Javadov (1918-1980), a prominent Azerbaijani military and state figure. J. Javadov actively participated in World War II and was promoted to the rank of Counter Admiral. He was one of the founders of Volunteer Assistance Society for Army, Aviation and Navy (OADKYC) established in the following years of the war. He has gained extraordinary achievements in the promotion of military and patriotic initiatives. The book is based on the archives of Azerbaijan and Russia as well as historical materials of museums and private collections. The vast majority of the materials presented in the book have been published for the first time. The book contains numerous historical photos and copies of archival documents. The book is published in Azerbaijani and Russian languages. Researchers and a large circle of readers are defined as the target group of the book.
