On November 16 and 18, 2018, the team of “Killshot” consisting of Mahammad Mammadli, Vusal Ismayilov, and Rauf Hajiyev, students majoring in Computer Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, represented Azerbaijan in the competition which took place in the Kingdom of Thailand, competing against teams from 66 countries. At the end of a three-day contest, “Killshot” succeeded in holding 58th place among 90 teams, surpassing South Korea, Brazil, Vietnam, Thailand, USA, countries well-known for innovations in robotics. The team was led by Emin Bayramov, a third-year student studying Computer Engineering of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
On October 6, 2018, Azerbaijan II Robotics Olympiad in 4 categories with the participation of 54 teams from 20 educational institutions was held in Palace of Hand Games on support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organizational initiative of Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy and "Education, Training, Profession and Development Center of Youth" Public Union. In the Olympiad, the team of “Regular Senior” of Khazar University
won the first place and was entitled the right to represent Azerbaijan in the World Finals in the Kingdom of Thailand.
