On November 23, 2018, Ilham Taghiyev, a PhD candidate of English language and Literature department of Khazar University made a presentation on “Presumption of Innocence: The Case of Linguistic Humour” at Middlesex University in London. That was a part of his research conducted at Middlesex University and was dedicated to unintentionality in linguistic humour. The author suggested a new semiotic method in distinguishing between intentional and unintentional humour – the issue that hasn't been investigated yet. The presentation was attended by the teaching staff of Media and Communication department of Middlesex University as well as PhD students and researchers.
