On November 17, 2018, Ziya Samadli, Instructor of the Department of History and Archaeology, participated in an international conference “Illegal Activity in the Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan and Responsibility of Third Parties” organized by the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The conference, which was attended by reporters and researchers, was chaired and moderated by Farhad Mammadov, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The following reports were delivered and discussed:

“The illegal economic and other activities in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and the imperative influence of international law” by Hikmat Hajiyev, Chair of the Department of Foreign Relations of Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan; "The Minsk Group after 25 years" by Mario Rafaelli, former Chair of the Minsk Group, OSCE, an Italian diplomat and politician; "Illegal exploitation of minerals in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan" by Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of AzerGold OJSC; "Satellite analysis of illegal activities in the occupied territories" by Rashad Nabiyev, Director of Azerkosmos; "Illegal activities in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan as the extension of the conflict and the status quo" by Leyla Abdullayeva, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
