On November 20, 2018, schoolchildren from Zardab were hosted at a meeting in “Marble” hall of Khazar University. 80 attendants of the Preparation Course “Zardabi yolu”, administration and teachers of the course as well as administration, deans and heads of departments of Khazar University participated in the meeting.

The meeting was organized by a working group on student involvement. The aim of the meeting was to inform the schoolchildren, potential prospective students, about the University and provide them with useful advice on the right choice of profession.

Delivering an opening speech, Alovsat Amirbayli, Director for Public Relations and Media, greeted the participants and informed them about the aim of the meeting.

Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector of Khazar University, gave detailed information about the University. Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered a speech and gave the schoolers advice on the period during which prospective students are on the eve of academic life.

Then a short film about the University was displayed. Fuat Rasulov, Coordinator of Working Group on Student Involvement, made a presentation about centres functioning at, and specialities offered by the University as well as successful graduates of the University who are in high posts both in private and state sectors. In his speech, Natig Eyvazov, Director of the Preparation Course “Zardabi yolu”, expressed his confidence that the meeting would be of importance for the schoolchildren and thanked the University administration and staff for the meeting.

Malak Karimova, Vice-dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Director of Khazar Psychological Service Center, conducted a psychological workshop for the schoolchildren.

Then the schoolchildren approached stands at “Marble” hall where associates of dean offices answered their questions. They also visited the Library and Information Center.

A city tour was also organized for the schoolchildren.
