On November 8, 2018, a “History of Azerbaijan” lesson for group “A”, the first-year students, was held at the exhibition “The Shirvanshahs heritage in world museums”.
Inara Muradbeyli, Narmina Baghirova and Ramiya Ismayilova, associates of National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, informed the students about the exhibition organized by “Icherisheher” Historical-Architectural Reserve in the Palace of the Shirvanshahs. More than 100 exhibits borrowed from National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, National Museum of Art, Archeology Museum, Shamakhi History and Ethnography Museum were demonstrated at the exhibition. Moreover, there were cultural artefacts from the Istanbul Military Museum at the exhibition. Shirvan ruler Farrukh Yasar's 4 helmets as well as armoured clothes which belonged to Shirvanshah Keygubad and Shirvanshah Khalilullah the First had been brought to Azerbaijan again in the last 500 years. Also, clay porcelain samples belonging to Pir Huseyn khanegah (literally "a place for dervishes") borrowed from Georgian National Museum were also exhibited.
One of the points attracting students’ attention was the fact that modern and interactive technologies such as interactive tables, holographic showcases, 3D graphics, audio and visual effects, were used at the exhibition. The students were informed that PhD Sabuhi Ahmadov, Assoc.Prof. at the Department of History and Archaeology, contributed immensely to the organization of the exhibition.
