On November 15, 2018, members of “Walking team” participated in the meeting to discuss “One month walking competition" achievements. The meeting was conducted by Dr. Hassan Niknafs, rector of Khazar University, who was the initiator of creating a “walking team”. The main aim of the team was, under the motto of “Let’s take care of our health”, to walk more and use less public transport while commuting every day to support a healthy lifestyle. The members of the team were provided with a pedometer in order to count the number of daily steps.

During the meeting, benefits and positive impact of walking on the members’ overall health was discussed and it was planned to conduct the same project in the future with more university employees to maintain health of academic staff.

The winners of so called “walking competition” were Milana Abbasova (1^st place), the program coordinator of English Language and Literature department; Fakhranda Afandi (2^nd place), Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; Nurana Farhadova (3^rd place), Assistant of English Language and Literature Department.
