On November 2^nd, 2018, the representatives of EuropeAid on the project “Strengthening Research Development and Innovation (RDI)” visited Khazar University. The aim of two representatives from Poland – Mr. Jacek Gajewski and Mr. Krzysztof Gulda - was to collect more information about research, development and innovation activities at Khazar University, as well as to introduce newly launched EuropeAid project “Strengthening RDI in higher education in Azerbaijan”.

Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector, Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Vice Rector for Research, Ms. Tatyana Zaytseva, Director of Library and Information Center (LIC), as well as Ms. Raziya Isayeva, Director of Development Center were present at the meeting. During the meeting, Vice Rector Irada Khalilova introduced her presentation with thorough information on RDI activities at Khazar University, its goals and challenges in the mentioned spheres.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their will for establishing collaboration, and defined their further cooperation steps within the project.

The overall objective of the above-mentioned project is strengthening of policy and management of RDI in HE, whose purpose is to increase the institutional capacities of the Ministry of Education to successfully introduce and implement a diversity of competitive research funds to support RDI in higher education.
