On November 2, 2018, the symposium dedicated to World One Health Day was held at Khazar University. About 20 experts from different organizations, including participants from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Republic, the State Food Safety Agency, Fragola - Government Services Azerbaijan, British Medical Journal, Khazar University visiting Fulbright scholar - Dr. Qaisar Sultana, Professor Emeritus at the College of Education of the Eastern Kentucky University of the USA, and as well as doctoral and volunteer students were attending the event. Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Vice-rector for Research of Khazar University, delivered an opening speech. There were 5 presentations delivered by researchers, members of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Republic, and PhD students (link to agenda).
Each presentation was followed by active discussions. At the end of the symposium, it was noted about the significance of the event and importance of raising public awareness of One Health to achieve common goals.
