An open lesson on “Types of ashig poems and saz songs”

On November 1, 2018, within the course of “History of Azerbaijan Literature-1” (Folklore), an open lesson on “Types of ashig poems and saz songs” was held in “Marble” hall at Khazar University. The lesson was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Vurghun Ayyub who talked about types of ashig poems and the role of saz songs in the enrichment of ashig poems as well as mutual relations and compliance of types of ashig poems and saz songs. Then ashig Shahriyar Karimov performed ashig songs and gave information about the content and emotional tone and tune of the songs.

The open lesson was attended by the first-year and senior course students majoring in Azerbaijani Language and Literature and Philology as well as the students of other specialties and instructors.
