On October 21, 2018, with the joint organizational support of the School of Economics and Management of Khazar University and National Accountants Forum, another workshop was held in Conference and Concert hall named after Fikrat Amirov at Khazar University campus in the city center.

After greeting the participants, Dr.Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, gave information about the quality of education at Khazar University and added that accounting specialities at Khazar University were aligned with international education standards. After his speech, a promotional video about Khazar University was demonstrated.

Dr. Ruslan Atakishiyev, Chair of the Organization Committee of National Accountants Forum, informed the participants about principles of the Forum and the aim of the workshop. Then Mirali Kazimov, an associate of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Taxes, talked about the substitution of the simplified tax system with VAT system, which is in accordance with “State Program on the expansion of digital payments in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018-2020”, as well as differentiation of VAT degrees. Radil Fatullayev, Vice-president of the Center for Economic Research and Training, explained practical examples about billing of double records on costs and expenses. Then Mehdi Babayev, Editor-in-chief of the journal “Professional accountant” talked about “Practical problems and inconsistencies in the compilation of the cost part of the Income Tax Declaration and solutions to these problems”. Abdulkarim Sadigov, Instructor of the School of Finance and Accounting of UNEC, talked about “Classification of costs in financial accounting, adding expenses to basic costs and current practical problems in this sphere”.

During question and answer session several issues were discussed. The participants were certified. The next workshop of National Accountants Forum is planned to be organized in partnership with, and hosting by Khazar University
