On October 11 and 12, 2018, an international conference on the topic “Turkey – the past, present and future of Turkish world”, on a joint organizational support of Marmara University and TESAM, one of the hundred think tanks of the world, was held in Istanbul, Turkey.

About thirty respected scholars from various countries and Turkish universities made reports. Azerbaijan was represented by Dr.Telman Guliyev (Nusratoghlu), Instructor of the Department of History and Archaeology of Khazar University. His report covered the relationships between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the XX century as well as the Islamic Army of the Caucasus. In the course of the conference Turkish TVs broadcasted an interview with Telman Nusratoghlu.
