On October 6, 2018, on organizational support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organizational initiatives of Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy and “Education, Training, Vocational and Development Center for Youth” Public Union, Azerbaijan II Robotics Olympiad was held in Palace of Hand Games. Olympiad took place on 4 categories with participation of 54 teams from 20 educational institutions. According to the rules, the winning teams gain the right to represent Azerbaijan in World Robotics Olympiad to be held on 16-18 November, 2018, in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Khazar University was represented at the Olympiad by 6 teams on 2 categories, under the leadership of Emin Bayramov, a 3^rd year student of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences:

1. “Killshot” (Mahammad Mammadli, Vusal Ismayilov, Rauf Hajiyev)

2. “Robin Food” (Ali Rustamov, Zaman Karimov, Elnur Valikhanli)

3. “Prime Generation” (Sanan Gulamov, Farid Salehli)

4. “X-Y-Z” (Rafig Sharifov, Mammadli Aghabayli, Shukur Aliyev)

5. “The Squad” (Elvin Ziyali, Ziya Mammadov, Murad Alizadeh)

6. “Robocop” (Taleh Mammadov, Fakhri Afrasiyab)

In “Open” category, “Robin Food” team performed outstandingly and was deserved the 4^th place while “Prime Generation” held the 3^rd place.

Khazar University team achieved a dominant position in “Regular Senior” category in which “Killshot” team became a winner surpassing all its opponents. “Killshot” will represent Azerbaijan in World Robotics Olympiad to be held in the Kingdom of Thailand.
