On September 20, 2018, a meeting with new international PhD and Master candidates admitted to Khazar University in the 2018-2019 academic year was held on its Neftchiler Campus.

The meeting led by the Rector of Khazar University Dr. Hassan Niknafs brought together international Master and PhD students who got admitted to the university in its current academic year (2018-2019). The purpose of the meeting was to welcome the new students to the academic environment of the university, familiarize them with its rules and policies, and address their questions and concerns. 

Dr. Irada Khalilova, Vice Rector for Research, told the students about the research at Khazar University. Dr. Eldar Shahgaldiyev, Head of the Division for Graduate Students and Research provided information about the organization of Master and PhD studies in Azerbaijan. Ms. Turan Jafarova, Director of International Affairs Office informed the students about local regulations set by the Ministry of Education and the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic. 

In its current academic year Khazar University accepted Master and PhD students from Afghanistan, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lesotho, Malawi, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and other countries.
