On September 25, Dr. Pirouz Kavehpour, a professor with high academic reputation from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), visited Khazar University. All the staff of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences participated in a round-table seminar with Dr. Pirouz who delivered an interesting scientific lecture on his research at UCLA related to Nanotechnology and Bioengineering.
Collaboration between the two universities on the joint research in the areas of bioengineering and nanotechnology was discussed. Student exchange and faculty exchange programs were also discussed.
The sides agreed on the participation of Khazar University students from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in UCLA’s summer courses offered by various engineering departments on a discounted tuition basis. During the summer semester, Khazar University students will also be provided with the dormitory by UCLA.
A MoU is under prescription and will be signed soon between the two universities.
