On September 25, 2018, moderator.az news portal posted an extensive article on a conference, held in Ankara, dedicated to the memory of Jamal Mustafayev, a deceased professor at Khazar University. The news reports that a great event, out of the series “Leaders of Turkish World”, dedicated to the memory of Jamal Mustafayev, a prominent philosopher, and awareness about Borchali Land was held on a joint organizational support of International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) and Borchali Society.

Javid Movsumov, a presenter of the event, delivered a short introductory speech and gave the floor to Dusen Kaseinov, Secretary General of TÜRKSOY, who greeted the delegation of Borchali Society and participants and underlined previous events which were dedicated to the memory of prominent figures of Turkish World. He expressed his gladness for such an event organized in honor of Jamal Mustafayev. Then Shamil Ayrim, a member of parliament, Chair of Friendship Group of Turkey and Azerbaijan of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey; Yalchin Topchu, Chief Advisor to the President of Turkey; Zalimkhan Mammadli, Chair of Borchali Society; Osman Ahmadoghlu, a prominent poet and Chair of Ashigs Union of Georgia; Dr. Oghuz Aydin, Instructor of Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, delivered speeches.

In the third part of the conference, ashigs - Selahattin Dundar, Nargila Mehdiyeva and Tamerlan Gurbanov, as well as SARVAN dance group of Marneuli accompanied by ashigs gave a performance. At the end, TÜRKSOY and Borchali Society presented the participants with gifts.
