On September 20, 2018, Khazar University hosted a delegation from the University of Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA) of Indonesia at Neftchiler Campus.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss areas of cooperation and sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

Members of the delegation from the UNIDA included Prof. Dr. KH. Amal Fathullah (Rector of UNIDA), Dr. Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyu (I Vice Rector, UNIDA), Dr. Akrim Mariyat, Dipl.A.Ed (Board of Trustees, UNIDA Gontor), and Rosyda Diana (Senior Lecturer UNIDA), Ms. Nadia (Researcher UNIDA).

Participants from Khazar University included Dr. Hassan Niknafs (Rector), Dr. Irada Khalilova (Vice Rector for Research), Ms. Fakhranda Alimardanova (Vice Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences), Dr. Mahammad Sharifov (Coordinator of Computer Sciences and Computer Engineering Department), and Ms. Turan Jafarova (Director of International Affairs Office).

After discussing the mutually beneficial cooperation, the parties exchanged memorable gifts, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
