On September 17, 2018, Chairman of the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Assoc. Prof. Ogtay Samadov, PhD in Pedagogy, had a meeting at “Dunya” school.

Ogtay Samadov delivered a speech on the topic “The Azerbaijan Democratic Republic – Leader of our Statehood” at the meeting attended by the school administration, teachers and senior pupils. He stressed the importance of developing human capital in Azerbaijan and underlined that it is important to increase the number of citizens in the 21^st century who are skillful and loyal to their national values and country. O.Samadov said: “Human capital is an important phenomenon for a rich and productive society.” Moreover, he emphasized the importance of “lifelong learning”.

Talking about the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, O.Samadov mentioned the contribution of the Democratic Republic to modern Azerbaijan. Stressing the fact that our country is based on ancient statehood traditions, he added that in the background of undesirable events happening in the world we need to develop through knowledge and quality education.

O. Samadov mentioned that Knowledge Foundation aims directly at enlightening people, and added that it should be our high priority to use modern technology along with reading books and strengthening relations with scholars and educators.

O. Samadov stressed the importance of conducting such meetings more often especially in an intense modern life with information whirlpool.

At the end of his speech, O.Samadov expressed his satisfaction with the conditions created for a better educational environment at “Dunya” school.
