On September 15, 2018, a ceremony dedicated to the start of a new academic year was held at Khazar University. The ceremony was attended by University administration and staff as well as newly admitted students, their parents and guests.

The ceremony started with the State Anthem of Azerbaijan. Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, delivered a speech and congratulated newly admitted students, and talked about international relations of, and suitable education environment at the University for the comprehensive development of students. Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector, also congratulated the students and wished them success.

H.Isakhanli, H.Niknafs, Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Jabir Khalilov, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Elza Samadova, Dean of the School of Education, presented a group of students, with high scores of admission, with student IDs and gifts, and had memory photos taken with them.

Tamerlan Abdullayev (the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Computer Engineering specialty), who finished secondary school with a gold medal and scored 690 points, delivered a speech on behalf of new students and mentioned that with his brother Tugay (690 points, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Computer Sciences specialty), he preferred Khazar University since they recognize Khazar University offering education of high quality, and congratulated the students.

A concert program, which was organized by the Department of Music and Fine Arts, was implemented by Mahsati Jabbarli, instructor of Khazar University and a soloist of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.Akhundov, and the students of Khazar university. After the concert, Isakhan Isakhanli, Vice-rector for Administration and Student Affairs, invited the students to the classrooms.

Deans, Heads of Departments and staff informed the students about the University and specialties and answered students' questions.

Another new academic year started at Khazar University.
