On August 13-18, 2018, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, travelled to Canada together with Vladimir Mun, a film director.

The purpose of the visit was to walk through the traces of Hamlet Isakhanli's 1985-87 Canadian trips, to see the relevant universities, individuals and places, to make some filming and build new working relationships.

Hamlet Isakhanli had delivered lectures and speeches at conferences and seminars before at Toronto, Calgary and Dalhousie universities two of which, Toronto and Calgary universities, he recently visited. He met with two prominent mathematicians, Prof. Richard Gay, 102 years old and Prof. Peter Lancaster, 90 years old, who had attended his lectures delivered at Calgary University and currently are retired, face-to-face and through correspondence respectively.

Hamlet Isakhanli met with Professor Tony Ware, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at University of Calgary and they agreed to establish close relationships, especially on Mathematics and its applications, between the two universities.

Hamlet Isakhanli also visited, following the traces of the trips made in 1985-87, the famous Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Canada's famous national park and the Rocky Mountains, some peaks of which he had climbed before.
