On July 12, 2018, representatives from two universities in Pakistan visited Khazar University. The meeting took place on Neftchiler campus of Khazar University.

Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector of Khazar University and Acting Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Vice-Rector for Research, and Turan Jafarova, Director of International Affairs Office met with Prof. Dr. M. Kamran Azim, Head of Department of Biosciences and Dean of Faculty of Life Sciences at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University and Dr. Atif Mustafa, Associate Professor and Co-chair at the NED University of Environmental Engineering. Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees also participated in the meeting.

Parties discussed student and faculty exchange, joint research, short-term programs and other topics of mutual interest. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the end of the meeting.
