On June 22, 2018, the Trade Union of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) held a scientific and practical conference at Ganja Regional Center entitled “National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Armed Forces”, dedicated to 95th anniversary of the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, and 100th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.

The conference was attended by the administration of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, officials of enterprises and institutions of Ganja city, staff members of Ganja Regional Center of MES as well as community representatives.

Mehman Ismayilov, Chair of the Trade Union of MES, Hasanbala Sadigov, Professor and D.Sc. in History at Ganja State University, and others delivered speeches and shed light on army building during the period of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

A concert program was presented at the ceremony. Mahsati Jabbarova, Instructor of Khazar University and a soloist of State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev, and Atash Garayev, a soloist of Azerbaijan State Musical Theater, sang compositions by Azerbaijan composers with accompaniment of Khazar University Chamber Orchestra guided by Zulfiyya Sadigova, a pianist, an honored teacher, and Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts of Khazar University.
