On June 18-23, 2018, Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, Irada Khalilova, Vice-rector for Research of Khazar University, Ulkar Bayramova, Project Manager of Center for Development, Goshgar Maharramov, Coordinator of the School of Education, and Milana Abbasova, Program Coordinator of the Department of English Language and Literature, participated in a series of seminars organized at the Polytechnic University of Valencia within ERASMUS+ project “Promoting Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Azerbaijani Universities”.
Moreover, approximately 30 representatives of partner universities from Azerbaijan (Khazar University, Nakhchivan State University, Ganja State University, Sumgayit State University, Baku Slavic University, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan University, Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan) and Europe (University of Debrecen (Hungary), Jyväskylä University (Finland), Vienna University of Applied Sciences (Austria), Gazi University (Turkey) joined the event.
During a five-day seminar, the participants were enlightened about the Polytechnic University of Valencia, researches conducted at this university, the establishment of an electronic base for researches, Open Access, and Sakai system, and prepared demo video lessons.
On June 22, the participants joined 4th International Conference on Higher Education held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University, and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, chaired PETRA session organized as a special part of the conference, and delivered a presentation entitled “Globalized Education in Azerbaijan, a post-communist country”.
