On June 6, 2018, VIII Poets Day dedicated to Mikayil Mushfig’s, a famous Azerbaijani poet who was a victim of repression in 1937, 110 anniversary, took place at the International Mugham Center. Gardashkhan Azizkhanli, the instructor of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature of Khazar University, and a group of students of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature - Zeynab Baghirova, Aytaj Hasanova, Pinar Mammadzadeh, Asmar Hasanzadeh, Farida Nadirova-Asgarova, Mujkan Farrukhlu, Arzu Aliyeva and Sakina Alekberova, received an invitation by the Union of Azerbaijani Writers to the event.
