On May 26-27, 2018, Vurghun Ayyub, Elza Samadli and Gatiba Mahmudova – Associate Professors of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature of Khazar University, participated in the international Congress “The Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in its 100^th anniversary”, jointly organized by Association of Azerbaijanis of Eskishehir and Turkish World Center for Application and Research at Anadolu University, on the occasion of 100^th anniversary of The Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. At the same time, Vurghun Ayyub and Elza Samadli were the members of Science Committee of the Congress. Associates of the University made reports on the following reports: Vurghun Ayyub – “Huseyn Javid’s Creativity and “Sarvati-Funun”; Elza Samadli – “Uzeyir Hajibayli, one of the intellectuals of the Democratic Republic, and his critics on Gori Seminary”; Gatiba Mahmudova – “The Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in the Turkish literature: a research on a work”.

On May 28, associates of Khazar University visited M.A.Rasulzadeh’s and Mustafa Kamal Ataturk’s graves in Ankara.
