On May 16, 2018, Li Ya Laoshi, an instructor of Chinese language at Khazar University, and students celebrated achievements and high results gained during the semester.

On March 28, 2018, HSK2 test exam was held at Confucius Institute of Baku State University. Aghakhan Baghirli and Nijat Ismayilov, students of Khazar University, participated in the HSK2 exam, a worldwide test exam for Chinese learners. Aghakhan Baghirli scored the highest mark in the exam in Azerbaijan.
