On May 21-23, 2018, an international scientific conference entitled “Azerbaijan Democratic Republic-100: The first parliamentary republic in the Muslim East” was held at Baku State University with the support of Caucasian Muslims Office. About 70 scholars from the USA, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Georgia, Moldova, Kuwait, and Poland participated at the conference. Moreover, figures of the scientific and educational community, members of parliament as well as state and government officials joined the conference. Khazar University was represented by Assoc. Prof. Zivar Huseynli-Baylan, a coordinator of the Department of Languages and Cultures. She delivered a report entitled "Coverage of the genocide committed by the Armenians in the press of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic".

At the end of the conference, each participant was certified and provided with a book of proceedings.
