On May 17, a welcome party for Fulbright scholars Robert Jecklin, Assistant Professor of University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Ali Azghani, Associate Professor of the University of Texas at Tyler was held at Culture Center of Khazar University.

Vice-Rector of Khazar University, Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova welcomed the guests and delivered a speech, in which she gave brief information about the scholars, their research areas and plans for research collaboration. She expressed her warm words for both scholars. Then prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, Founder of Khazar University, Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees talked about the history of cooperation, Fulbright scholar exchanges between Azerbaijan and US universities.

Participants of the welcome party Dr. Hassan Niknafs, Rector of Khazar of University, Dr. Rovshan Abbasov, Head of the department of Geography and Environment, Dr. Baba Bayramli, Director of the Center for Alumni Relations, greeted the honorary scholars, expressed warm words to their address and wished a fruitful collaboration with Fulbright Program.

In their turn, Assistant Prof. Robert Jecklin and Assoc. Prof. Ali Azghani thanked Khazar University staff for such a warm greeting and the conditions provided for conducting research.

The whole ceremony was accompanied with beautiful classical music performed by Khazar University Orchestra.
